6 Must-Haves for Styling a Crop Top for a 20-Something
It’s that trend that keeps on coming around every summer; crop tops. I have spotted a few that I would totally rock, but on second thought, aren’t I too old for this trend? Nope! It’s really all in the way you style it. So, how can us 20-somethings wear crop tops without looking like teeny boppers? There’s a fine line between budding fashionista and teenage-wannabe! My first instinct is to tuck it into a high-waisted skirt but there are so many more options that are much more fun.
Here’s 6 must-haves for styling a crop top for a 20-something!

1- High-Waisted Shorts or Skirt:
These are an absolute must for anyone wearing a crop top! Baring just a little bit of skin between the top and bottoms, it’s both flattering and classy. A peek of skin is what we’re going for here!
2- Pointed-Toe Heels:
There’s nothing more classic than pointed-toe heels! I love this particular pair because they have a fun t-strap. This is fantastic for the warmer weather and the neutral color palette maintains its elegance.
3- Floppy Hat:
I love a fabulous floppy hat for the summer! It adds a subtle trendiness to the look and it’s perfectly functional on a hot, sunny summer day.
4- Structured Blazer:
Adding a blazer is a sure-fire way of making any look more elegant! It allows just a tiny bit of skin to show, while making the wearer look older… and wiser.
5- Quilted Bag:
Who doesn’t love a quilted bag? This trend was created by Coco Chanel in 1955 (the Chanel 2.55 bag) and remains the epitome of sophistication today!
6- Classic Color Palette:
I love the classic black and white color palette on this crop top. I always recommend sticking with neutral or classic colors when taking a chance on a new trend!

I like the crop top idea, but I can't pull it off myself! I like the look you put together — those shoes are killer!
