A Fashionable Affair; Wearing a Two-Piece For a Special Occasion
I’ve hopped on the two-piece bandwagon! I have admired it from afar for a while but recently realized, this is a trend that’s for everyone. Ideally, your two pieces are supposed to match and show a tiny bit of skin at your waist. So essentially, you’ve got a crop top and high-waisted midi skirt. The beauty of the two-pieces is that it’s so versatile! You can wear the two pieces together or separately, which leads to endless style possibilities.
You don’t have to have a perfect body to rock one of these! It shows off the waist, which is the smallest part of the torso for most women. There’s also a version of this trend- which I’m rocking in this post- where instead of showing a peek of skin, the two pieces layer for a cool, unique silhouette.
I definitely have my eyes peeled for a great crop top to show-off a little bit of skin during the summer, but for now I’m loving this matching layered look. The checkered, or grid-like, pattern is cool and I love the organza material. It’s light and airy for the warm summer months! I also love how the lining of the skirt is shorter than the skirt itself, giving the hem a trendy sheer look.
What’s the special occasion? I went to my friend’s baby shower over the weekend! I wore my hot pink leather jacket over this outfit on my way in because she’s having a girl.
