Stripes are the big trend of the year that everyone seems to be embracing, myself included! The options are endless; horizontal, diagonal, vertical, thick, thin. Once viewed as unflattering, trendsetters have now thrown that myth out the window and it appears stripes of all kinds are here to stay. In addition to the many shapes and sizes stripes come in, there’s many style inspirations behind them as well. Whether it be a thick navy and white nautical-inspired stripe or thin multi-colored 80’s-inspired stripe, it’s all relevant in today’s fashion. My personal favorite is the classic and chic black and white contrasting stripes. 

In the above set, I featured a black and white Armani striped blazer. I absolutely love every single aspect of this blazer! The black and white coloring is timeless, while the thin stripes are modern and fresh. The sharp lines in the architecture brings a masculine feature, while the bow at the waist adds a feminine touch. Everything about this jacket is contrasting. I paired the blazer with a mustard elastic-waist dress. I accessorized with a metallic gold Rebecca Minkoff quilted satchel and mustard Chinese Laundry peep-toe suede flats. For jewelry, I chose a BaubleBar pastel stone statement necklace, a gold BaubleBar zebra-print cuff, and enamel daisy earrings.
