Embellishments are anything that makes a piece more attractive, specifically features or details. It’s essentially the art of beautifying. It can be anything from embroidery to sequins to fabrics. Embellishments never go out of style because who doesn’t want to wear something beautiful? However, specific types may come and go. Right now, large jewels and rhinestones are all the rage! 

In the above set, I featured a black and white Lipsy embellished top. This top is absolutely stunning and it’s all because of the beautiful detail. There’s embroidery, beading, and rhinestones that create a nice floral design. I paired this top with a taupe Vivienne Westwood pencil skirt and a black Balmain structured blazer. These pieces go nicely with our embellishment theme because they have stunning details, as well. The pencil skirt is made with a jacquard fabric and has a dotted design, which gives the skirt a lovely textured look. The blazer is structured and looks to have been influenced by architecture. I accessorized with a black Henri Bendel mini crossbody and taupe ShoeMint snakeskin loafer heels. For jewelry, I used black and white dotted stud earrings from White House Black Market and a grey Kate Spade jeweled bangle.
