Ombre has been center stage on the fashion scene this year. First it was ombre hair, then it was ombre clothing. Now, it’s ombre jewelry! So, what is ombre? Ombre is a style in which the color starts out dark and gradually gets lighter on the piece. It’s typically done with different shades of one color, but can also be done with like-colors (i.e. magenta into orange).

In the above set, I featured an ombre peter pan collar necklace from Etsy. I love this because it’s sparkly and glamorous. The colors, black to greys to white, definitely make this an easier piece to style. Ombre jewelry can be a tricky trend to style, especially for work-wear, but the neutral colors make it more possible.  For the look, I chose an ivory and light pink Valentino dress paired with a cream DKNY blazer. This is the perfect canvas for the necklace because it’s light, so the necklace stands out and doesn’t clash with it. I accessorized with black Saks Fifth Avenue bow t-strap sandals, black pearl-embroidered Dior handbag, and silver Charlotte Russe bow earrings.
