Stylin’ Hair: Wrap-Around French Braid & Loose Waves
Whether it be a french braid, fishtail, or sock bun; the hair truly completes the look. That’s why there is such a thin line between the Fashion and Beauty Industry’s, and so many Fashion AND Beauty Blog Extraordinaire’s!
Everything– hair, make-up, and fashion- works together to create impeccable style.
My personal favorite style is braided anything! I’m known among my friends as the braid queen. I taught myself how to french braid as a tween and have been constantly learning and trying new braid looks ever since.
On this random Saturday afternoon, I wore an oversized neon pink tee with my favorite LC Lauren Conrad jeggings. I accessorized with Charming Charlie gold layering necklaces and of course, my fancy hair ‘do! I don’t always wear my hair in complicated styles, but I especially love to jazz up my hair when I’m wearing a casual or understated outfit.
On this day, I styled my hair with a wrap-around braid and loose waves. The braid is a simple french braid that begins at the crown of my hair and literally wraps around to the back of my head. I used a seashell clip and bobby pin paired at the end to hold the braid.
TIP: It’s definitely best to do this type of braid on damp hair so the details more defined.
I use a Remington pearl ceramic styling wand to curl my hair. I love this product because it’s easy to use, it works quickly, and holds the curl pretty well without using any hair products. I met a fabulous blogger at Lucky FABB earlier this month that revealed the trick to creating a loose wave with a styling wand! You just wrap the hair around the wand, hold the barrel on an exact horizontal angle, and voila! I’ve been trying to achieve this look for quite some time now, so I was surprised to learn it was that easy!
Your hair looks so pretty! I need to invest in a curling wand. My hair doesn't hold a curl well with a regular curling iron so I'm curious if a wand would work better!
