3 Ways to Show Gratitude at the Office

That being said- we spend the majority of our waking hours at the office. And with the popularity of technology and our fast-paced, on-the-go culture- we even interact with our colleagues outside of those 40-hours a week. This is not to complain but more so to point out the real importance of being kind to those we work with!
1- Offer Assistance: There’s nothing worse than feeling like you’re drowning in work! Sometimes there’s just those weeks where it seems like every upcoming deadline is one after another. When you see your colleague is super busy, ask ‘what can I do to help?’ My boss does this at our office and it’s amazing how powerful that phrase is. It’s a relief to know someone has your back and it’s the ultimate example of teamwork.
2- Random Acts of Kindness: It’s nice to be kind! It makes you feel good. It makes the recipient feel good. It’s a win-win! The best thing about it is that it doesn’t have to be a grande gesture. I’ve had colleagues add some paper to my printer while loading theirs up. I have also experienced colleagues saying ‘hey, I ordered you some ink because I noticed you were low.’ It often takes little extra effort, but the result is so much greater!
3- Bring Food: We all have to eat at some point, right? Nothing says ‘I appreciate you’ like bringing in a dozen bagels just because. Chances are, it will save someone a trip out to pick-up breakfast. Relief!

I work full-time and can totally relate to this list. I always bring food (for everything). It really goes over well!
