3 Easy Ways to Dress Down Tulle
As all of you know, I am totally obsessed with anything feminine- and that includes glitter, bows, tulle, you name it! So when I came across this adorable black LC Lauren Conrad tulle mini skirt at Kohls, I just couldn’t resist buying it. Where would I wear it? Who knows! I just knew I had to have it.
A black tulle skirt isn’t a difficult piece to style, but the real question is- where can I wear it? It’s a little short for work and a tad too fancy for the weekend. What does that leave me with? I don’t have any special occasions coming up, but I can’t let this beautiful thing sit in my closet collecting dust!
Let’s dress it down! How can we dress down a fancy fabric like tulle? Here’s 3 Easy Ways to Dress Down Tulle–
1- Loosen Up: There’s nothing more casual than a t-shirt! Try
mixing up the tulle by pairing it with a cool graphic tee or an
oversized, or slouchy, sweater.
2- A Natural Beauty: Give your hair and makeup a natural, light look. Try throwing your hair up in a messy topknot or rock beach waves!
3- Have Fun: Add a little something fun or
alternative to your look! For my look, I chose a big, colorful statement
necklace and colored tights. It brings down the sophistication level a
bit if you stay away from the simple neutrals and instead, embrace color
and funk!
