One Cream Skirt, 3 Ways For Fall + Link-Up
Happy Friday, friends! Ever wonder how you can transition those summer clothes to the fall season? It’s easy to turn your wardrobe through a complete revolving door for the new season but in the spirit of being efficient and cost-effective, let’s take the more challenging route by bringing some of these items with us through the seasons.
The color, style, and our expectations all play a role in transitioning a piece. I mean, who made up these rules in the first place? If everyone always wore white pants in the winter, we wouldn’t think much of it. That’s where our expectations come into play. The key here is to take the unexpected and blend it with the expected. Let me show you what I mean!
Take this cream Topshop a-line skirt, for
instance. The suede fabric makes our job a little bit easier, but let’s
focus on the color for the sake of our example. A cream skirt for the
fall and winter? Sure, we all have at least one ‘winter white’ sweater
but bottoms are a completely different story. Read on and I’ll show you how the color and style can take this piece from summer to fall in an instant!

Here’s One Cream Skirt, 3 Ways For Fall!
LOOK ONE
Created by theclosetbychristie on Polyvore
Deep Neutrals
For look one, I paired the cream skirt with deep neutrals- black, gold, and tan. This keeps the look classic and chic, while adding some contrast in color. The combination of the dark hues and the mock neck sweater make this look ideal for fall!
1- Topshop Clean Funnel Neck Top // 2- Guess Selina Gold Tone Bangle Set // 3- House of Harlow Hexes Pendant Necklace // 4- Topshop Tab Button Suede Skirt // 5- Banana Republic Envelope Clutch // 6- White House Black Market Chevron Stud Earrings // 7- White House Black Market Hazelnut Pumps // 8- House of Harlow Triangle Theorem Ring

Collegiate Style
For look two, I styled the cream skirt with collegiate pieces and colors. This is one of my absolute favorite styles for fall! Deep hues like navy & burgundy and patterns like plaid & houndstooth are a dream! For this look, the colors- navy & mustard- plus the oxford shoes and peacoat make this look undeniably fall.
1- Topshop Ribbed Funnel Neck Top // 2- J.Crew Stadium-Cloth Majesty Peacoat // 3- Topshop Oversized Ribbed Bow Headband // 4- Kate Spade New York Double Faux Pearl Pendant // 5- Topshop Tab Button Suede Skirt // 6- Topshop Kiwi Brogue Lace-Ups // 7- Banana Republic Saddle Crossbody

LOOK THREE

Classic Fall
A little bit of romance can go with any season, but add a splash of ‘typical fall’ style and it’s an ideal look for the season. The floral patterns, clean lines, and blush color are beautifully feminine, while the cargo vest creates a nice contrast and transforms it into a typical fall look.
1- Topshop Ditsy Floral Print Ruffle Blouse // 2- Madewell Cargo Vest // 3- Kendra Scott ‘Logan’ Stud Earrings // 4- House of Harlow Medium Sunburst Ring // 5- Forever 21 Floral Cut-Out Bracelet // 6- Topshop Tab Button Suede Skirt // 7- Kate Spade New York Taley Leather Bow Ankle Boot // 8- Banana Republic ‘Beautiful’ Tote
How would you style this cream a-line skirt?
