It’s not completely necessary, but it’s certainly polite to bring a hostess gift with you when you attend an event at someone’s home. These gifts are tough to personalize because you just want to bring a little something. If you get something too big or too expensive, your polite gesture will quickly turn to obnoxious. Here’s a few ideas that will deem you a superstar guest!

These candles are too pretty to light! Whether your hostess decides to light them or simply use them as decor, these are a fabulous gift. Inexpensive and lovely!
Do I even need to say anything about this? I consider deer to be one of the most graceful animals. They’re so beautiful and they are reminiscent of the winter season; I guess because of Santa’s reindeer. Nonetheless, this is a really chic little statue!
This is such a cute, trendy ornament. These are great accent gifts and hostess gifts! The best part about this gift is that they all go on sale late in the season.
When you’re shopping for your home, the last thing you’re probably looking at is a salt and pepper shaker set. My aunt collects these and there are some really cute ones! It’s the perfect gift because they serve as a decoration and your hostess is less likely to buy it for herself. Those are the best kind of gifts!
Decorative pillows are fun! I always say you can never have enough. I love the look of a bed or couch with a ton of pillows. This faux fur pillow is luxurious and is likely to match any room!
I’m pretty into the skinnygirl collection. They have so many different wines, mixed drinks, and even vodka. The packaging is chic, the idea of a ‘skinny’ drink is appealing, and it’s the perfect gift!
You can never have enough ‘comfort’ items! A good throw is always a great fallback if you’re not sure of what to get for someone. This one looks super soft, comes in a bunch of different colors, and is on sale!
Do things like sunglasses, keys, and mail not have a home in your house? These are items that tend to become clutter on a table. This tray is a chic resolution!
