4 Christmas Party Outfit Ideas & How To Stand Out
It’s almost Christmas and while some might be on Pinterest searching for the perfect tablescape, I’m looking in my closet to find the perfect outfit. But as the years go by, my options become less and less. Did I wear something like this last year or the year before? What vibe should I go for; trendy or classic? Will someone else wear something similar? Will I look exactly like everyone else? When there are certain colors that represent a holiday, it’s hard to not look like everyone else in their best Christmas uniforms. Here are 4 Christmas Party Outfit Ideas & How To Stand Out!
Are you running out of Christmas party outfit ideas? Here are 4 to spark your inspiration!
1- NEUTRAL TONES WITH A FESTIVE COLOR POP
This is one of my favorite Christmas party outfit ideas because it’s so chic and unexpected. A few years ago, I used black wrapping paper with burgundy ribbon (check it out here: Untraditional Wrapping) and it looked gorgeous. Try this same style for an outfit!
2- UNTRADITIONAL SHADES OF RED OR GREEN
Instead of wearing the traditional holiday colors like bright red or pine green, try going with an untraditional shade to spice things up. A few of my favorites are: olive, rust, orange-red, burgundy, and teal.
3- BRIGHT COLORED PANTS OR SKIRT
Match my vibe in this look by wearing bright colored bottoms! Whether you prefer pants, a midi skirt, or a mini skirt, the color is the true focus and brighter is better. Think fire engine red or shamrock green like my trouser pants; remember the Crayola crayon? Think outside of the box (no pun intended!).
4- METALLICS & SEQUINS, SILVER & GOLD
Modern and trendy Christmas decor usually involves a few common elements: sparkles, metallics, neutral colors, and metal colors. White Christmas trees with sparkly silver ornaments are becoming the norm. Just like with decor, using these colors for your Christmas party outfit will keep you looking chic and modern. Try wearing a black turtleneck with a gold statement necklace or a winter white sweater with cool silver accessories.
