How To DIY a Bow Blouse In 1 Minute
Bow blouses are one of the most versatile pieces because they are perfect as both work wear and casual wear. These blouses have definitely become staples in my closet because of their ultra-feminine style and versatility. I just can’t get enough of them! The best bow blouses can be tough to find but did you know that any blouse can become a bow blouse? All you need is two things; a collared top and a skinny silk scarf.

HOW TO DIY A BOW BLOUSE
Within minutes, you can transform any blouse into a bow blouse if you have the right tools and frame of mind. Here’s everything you need to know-
1- CHOOSE A COLLARED TOP
The first step is to choose a collared top. This style definitely looks the best with structured work wear button-up tops but you can choose what you want like I did in this style post.
2- BUTTON IT UP TO YOUR NECK
Put on your collared top and button it all the way up to your neck. Some of the Portofino tops from Express only button-up to the chest instead of the neck. You can still make that work with a loosely tied bow. I just think it looks a little bit cleaner when the bow is tied around the neck.
3- POP THE COLLAR & ADD A SKINNY SILK SCARF
Simply pop the collar of your top for a moment, wrap a skinny 70’s style silk scarf around your neck beneath the collar, and then adjust the collar back into place. These skinny 70’s style silk scarves are a big accessory trend right now and they would be the perfect holiday gift for your creative fashion-forward friend because there are so many different ways that you can wear them.
4- TIE THE SCARF IN A BOW
Finally, tie your skinny silk scarf into a bow. Because of the silky material, the bow might become untied throughout the day. You can put a safety pin (hidden in the back) or a bobby pin through it to hold it in place or you can simply re-tie it!

BEHIND THE SCENES
Photo shoots in Blog Land aren’t always a breeze- no pun intended. On this particular day, the wind was seriously messing with our game. Expectation= wind delicately blowing my hair like a L’Oreal commercial. Reality= plenty of outtakes, like this one! Luckily, we were able to find a spot where the wind wasn’t so intense and it made for a good laugh.
