The Colors Every Woman Needs In Her Wardrobe This Fall
Hello! I’m sure you’ve all been wondering where I’ve been. I apologize for the hiatus but what I’ve learned is that sometimes we just need to take a break and hit the reset button. So… after a much needed summer break, I’m back and ready to rock the fashion world this fall. I’ve been working behind the scenes on some pretty cool projects, so incredible things are to come!
With every new season, we get to enjoy a brand new color palette! We’re in the midst of NYFW, so today I’m focusing on the must-have fall fashion colors everyone should have in their closet this season. Color is a pretty big deal in the fashion world because it evokes emotion and when it comes down to it, fashion is all about communicating who we are to the world around us. Overall, we can expect to see a combination of brights & deep hues this fall. Drum-roll, please! The official fall fashion colors for NYC are: tawny port, grenadine, butterum, ballet slipper, neutral gray, navy peony, shaded spruce, marina, & golden lime. Some of these fall colors sound familiar, while others are a big question mark. Let me show you!

TAWNY PORT
Burgundy is one of my absolute favorite colors, especially for the fall. This shade is so deep that it looks like a mash-up of plum and merlot. Variations of this color return to the must-have list every fall, so it’s really becoming the new neutral.

GRENADINE
Has anyone ever heard the word ‘grenadine?’ I haven’t but what this color really reminds me of is fire engine red. It’s about as bright as it gets but it’s fun and eye-catching. I always love a good red!

BUTTERUM
This color is a beautiful, neutral alternative to cognac. Shades of brown aren’t easily paired with black but butterum is super versatile. It takes neutral to another level!

BALLET SLIPPER
Blush is one of my all-time favorite colors because it’s feminine and pretty. Despite it being a light hue, we can expect to see this color everywhere this fall. I’m already seeing it in every store and in every form, whether it be pants, blazers, shoes, or bags.

NEUTRAL GRAY
I don’t know anyone that doesn’t have gray in their closet! It’s a fabulous neutral that’s bigger than ever today. I especially love a light gray but this season is all about medium gray, similar to gunmetal.

NAVY PEONY
Navy is consistently a favorite of mine, season after season. It’s a classic color that’s in line with the traditional collegiate-inspired fall palette. I love navy peony because it’s a mash-up of cobalt and classic navy.

SHADED SPRUCE
Shaded spruce is a beautiful, deep turquoise. I love these jewel-tones, especially this shade of turquoise. This color is super flattering and looks amazing on everyone!

MARINA
Marina is a very specific shade of blue. It isn’t quite periwinkle or aqua; it’s somewhere in the middle. It’s a pretty, bright color that will stand out among the deeper fall colors!

GOLDEN LIME
We typically see a lot of olive during the fall season but this year, we’re brightening it up! Without the deep undertone, this shade of green falls somewhere inbetween on the color spectrum. It isn’t quite neon but a splash of yellow mixed into the color really brightens it up.
